How it works

UPVC by its nature is a very resilient material & consequently it has been proven to be extremely long lasting.  However, with UV degradation the colour & appearance of a lot of UPVC products will fade over the years.  Spray painting UPVC is an effective method of completely refreshing any tired looking surfaces & is around 75% cheaper than replacements.  It is also a great way to completely transform the look of a house or building without the cost or disruption of fitting replacements.

The process involves removing any windows/panels possible to allow for as good a quality finish as possible.  Some painters will leave windows in place which in turn leaves an unfinished edge that isn't a very good look.  The windows/doors will then be thoroughly cleaned using specialist agents to remove any grime or silicones on the surface to ensure a good bond with the paint.  The panels can then be rubbed down with a very fine grade sandpaper & scotch pad to make sure the surfaces are as smooth as possible before paint.  Any minor blemishes/scratches can also be filled at this point.  Another clean over with agents to make sure any dust has been cleared.  Now any areas not to be painted will be professionally masked & protected, this is a meticulous process to ensure a perfect edge is created along the newly painted areas.  Similarly any brickwork or surrounds will need to be covered to protect from any overspray.  Once all this has been completed the spraying can begin....  Specialist 2 part paint is mixed & prepared with a mixture of hardener & thinners that provides an effective primer & top coat in one.  Completely weather resistant and tough enough to endure the normal wear and tear of everyday life for years to come.   A minimum of 2 coats of paint is applied & once dried creates a super smooth finish in your newly chosen colour.  The windows/doors will then be fully re-assembled and good to go!
